TV / VIDEO PRODUCTION SEARCH

The Department of Visual and Media Arts at Emerson College is
seeking to fill two tenure-track positions in television and video
production at the rank of assistant professor. A successful candidate
must hold an MFA degree, or its professional equivalent, and be able
to teach introductory to advanced courses in the making of TV / video,
including television studio production and / or video field production.
Each position will include advising individual advanced projects at
both the undergraduate and graduate level. Candidates will also be
expected to teach a course in media production that introduces
students to production practices across a range of media. Successful
candidates should possess a record of creative accomplishment and
the ability to develop a national reputation.

The Department of Visual and Media Arts is the largest department at
Emerson College, serving approximately 1,100 undergraduate majors
in media production and media studies and 150 graduate students.
The Department is comprised of 30 full-time faculty to deliver an
innovative curriculum that encourages students to work across the
traditional boundaries between different media. Teaching is
supported by the most recent shooting formats, editing labs and
suites that support both Avid and Final Cut Pro, and two new
state-of-the-art television studios.

The committee will begin reviewing applications November 1 and
continue until both positions are filled.

Please send a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, evidence of
excellence in teaching, and three letters of reference to:
