SEARCH TO FILL A NEW FILM STUDIES POSITION
In the Department of English, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

Full-time tenure-track appointment. Film Studies. Assistant Professor.
Appointment begins August 16, 2005. Position assumes completed PhD. in
pertinent area by August 2005.

We are seeking a specialist in transnational and/or American cinemas and
visual cultures, and in theories of film, digital media, and television. We
especially encourage applications from candidates with expertise in
postcolonial
studies, queer studies, ethnic studies, and/or gender studies. The position
involves engagement in curricular development and teaching at all levels of the
undergraduate and graduate programs.

dissertation or current post-dissertation research project to Martin Camargo,
