Is anyone here based at Syracuse University? They have two unpublished Baum works among their L. Frank Baum papers, the play _The Girl from Oz_ and the short story "Chrome Yellow." These fell into the public domain at the beginning of this year because Baum's family neglected them. They are legal to copy, but that may or may not be feasible or within library regulations. They would not answer me when I contacted them about it.

"But since in fact we see that avarice, anger, envy, pride, sloth, lust and stupidity commonly profit far beyond humility, chastity, fortitude, justice and thought, and have to choose, to be human at all...why then perhaps we *must* stand fast a little--even at the risk of being heroes." --Sir Thomas More, _A Man for All Seasons_, by Robert Bolt
