The Urban Mediamakers Fall Festival (UMFF) 2002, October 16-20, 2002, is a
very affordable five-day, bilingual festival celebrating cultural diversity
in media and brings animation, film, print, radio, television and video
together under one setting. The festival includes film screenings,
workshops, panel discussions, networking events, a listening party, an
artist market, best-of-the-best web site designs, and more. The main
location of events is the Georgia Pacific Center located in downtown
Atlanta at 133 Peachtree Street, Atlanta, Georgia. Please visit our site

Festival Highlights...

*       Carl Seaton, Kenny Young and Phil James (makers of "One Week" the
movie) are confirmed as panelists and "Indie Filmmakers" workshop instructors.

*       Jesus Nebot, a well-known Spanish actor and director, is premiering
his directorial project "No Turning Back" during the festival, as well as
instructing an Adult Actor's Workshop.

*       Pat Charles formerly with 106&Park and now Producer of BET Radio
Network is instructing a Writer's Workshop.

*       Christian Epps, a world-known gaffer, is instructing a Lighting
Workshop.

*       Luis Estrada with the Hispanic Television Network is bringing a
Spanish film tribute.

*       World Premiere Listening Party

*       Exceptional short, feature and documentary films including the HBO
Documentary 2002 Award winning film "Gatekeepers" by John Carlos Frey, "Big
Wigs" by Mad Matthewz, "Yah Yah" by Yiuwing Lam, "A Revolution: The Black
Panther Party" by Berkeley High School students and funded by the Black
Panther Party Foundation, "Unjust Cause" by Ed Banuel, "Pan y Libertad" by
Yvette Pita, and more!

Film Submissions Wanted...
We're seeking shorts, documentaries, and feature films of all genres
(animation, comedy, drama, science fiction, documentaries, action, as well
as films specifically geared toward youth and children) by all
nationalities and in all languages for screening. All non-English films
must be subtitled in English. We're also seeking movies specifically
targeting children. This is a great opportunity to expose independent films
to a diverse audience.

Send your 1/2" VHS, DVD, and BETA SP tapes to: Atlanta Urban Mediamakers,
