It's not necessarily a copyright violation to show videos in class. If
you're talking about the ones before the films those are primarily scare
tactics. US law explicitly allows showing "a motion picture or other
audiovisual work" during "the course of face-to-face teaching activities of
a nonprofit educational institution" so long as the original copy being
shown was legally made. Title 17, Chapter 1, Section 110.
