Cinemakids 2001

The Cinematexas International Short Film + Video Festival is happy to
announce the second year of Cinemakids, a special non-competition program
of short films, videos, and computer animations created by youth 18 and
younger.

By featuring youth-made work, Cinematexas acknowledges that contemporary
cinema and media culture have expanded beyond the realm of adults through a
phenomenal increase in the number of young cultural producers worldwide.
Bringing together younger and older filmmakers from different walks of life
for mutual inspiration and education, Cinematexas and Cinemakids are
devoted to inspiring young media producers and honoring their unique
perspectives.

Cinemakids will take place September 15-16, 2001, in Austin, Texas.

The deadline for Cinemakids entries is June 15, 2001.

For more information about Cinemakids and to obtain an entry form, please
