Having directed, studied and been around Hollywood directors Steven Soderberg
might sound cool and flippant when he says he could teach anyone directing in
and hour but it is not true.
It is much more difficult unless you have a full Hollywood crew. With a crew
anyone can direct, but the product is terrible.
Check out any film school, film festival and 95% product is terrible. There
is a reason for this and the secret does not lie in just an hour.
