Question
Recently I was asked to speak on the choosing a lens focal length: the effect
on the shot and the viewer of wide angle vs. telephoto.
It is been while since I loaded up lenses for shoots but my impression is
simple. Wide angle more space covered, distortion of corners, distortion of
close ups, less light.
Telephoto, less depth of field, almost a 3D quality to the images on close
ups, more light.
Anyone have additional thoughts.
(Lecturer) Los Angeles, CA.
