R. Z. Biedenharn Chair in Communication
Centenary College of Louisiana invites applications for the R. Z.
Biedenharn Chair in Communication beginning fall 2001. Candidates
should have a terminal degree and a distinguished professional record in
one or more of the following areas of new media: digital art and design;
interactive media; web publishing; digital filmmaking and videography.
The ideal candidate will be an excellent teacher with a commitment to
the liberal arts. Duties include coordinating and teaching in an
interdisciplinary program in communication. Departmental affiliation
and rank dependent on the successful candidate's degree and professional
qualifications.
A member of the Associated Colleges of the South, Centenary is a
selective liberal arts institution with a student/faculty ratio of 12:1
and a $120-million endowment. The oldest chartered college west of the
Mississippi, it is located in a metropolitan area of 300,000.

of recommendation, and samples of published scholarship and/or creative
