I am grateful to John Dougill, Kyoto, for his thoughtful post here
recently (e.g., 'humans respond more to vitality than to morality'). It
fitted neatly with some thoughts of mine on the life-force in
Hitchcock's films, which I discuss in my Hitchcock book and also
currently on the Home Page of the Hitchcock Scholars/'MacGuffin'
website. Thanks, John

- Ken Mogg (author, 'The Alfred Hitchcock Story', UK edition - I disown
the cut and 'simplified' US edition).
